A good knowledge of your own culture, with all its customs and conventions, is a prerequisite to learn about and from other cultures. This is also true for intercultural communication. Learning about other cultures and other forms of communication is at the same time learning about your own (unconscious) beliefs about how something should be communicated.  

Communicating with people from different nationalities and cultural backgrounds becomes easier when you learn to recognise the underlying cultural patterns. In the training modules and workshops that 2412 IMCC offers, you will get to know more about these patterns and you will learn more about protocols, (business) conventions, manners and customs. We can also teach you how to adapt the content and style of your presentations to fit in with the national tastes of your target market. 2412 IMCC can also give advice with regard to business manners and customs in a particular country or region.

2412 IMCC provides interactive training modules in the areas of intercultural communication, international skills and intercultural awareness. The modules focus on acquiring skills and knowledge on the underlying theory through assignments, dealing with international business cases and getting practical tips. There is also a lot of room for sharing experiences with each other. This makes the subjects of the training modules and workshops directly applicable in daily business.

  • Intercultural Awareness workshops: How do you take into account cultural differences in your own work and in contacts with foreign business partners? Based on practical examples.

  • Intercultural Competences for employees: Specifically focuses on the competence ‘cultural sensitivity’ for more and less experienced (export) employees. 

  • Intercultural Competences for managers: For managers who are responsible for maintaining contact with foreign suppliers, customers and distributors. This module is also of use to sales managers who often visit international clients.

  • Intercultural Communication: This training is aimed at getting insight into the underlying dynamics of international communication. The focus is on learning general international communicative competences (negotiations, presentations for foreign audience, etc.).

The training modules and workshops can be held in either Dutch or English.
